| Celebrate sweet anniversary this week at Ganache Desserts |
|
One year later and there are still sweet dreams for Pam Rieben of Ganache Desserts.
Celebrating the one-year anniversary since she opened her doors of the dessert shop, Rieben is "excited to be at this point." And so she's offering a truly sweet deal — $1 decadent desserts each day from Tuesday to Saturday this week. "It's a thank you to our loyal customers, and hopefully a way for new customers to come and try us," Rieben said. Business is steadily growing, she said, but she still gets excited when new customers stop in for the first time.
"I want to be busy all the time," Rieben said. "We like having people in here." Recently Rieben added the salted caramel brownie to her powerful lineup of confectionery delights, but more is still to come. In April the hope is to bring in the tastes of spring with fresh fruit, including blueberries and cream cookies, strawberry cake, and strawberry and blueberry tarts.
"I make what I like," she said. "I eat it all." Check out her list of desserts at www.ganachedesserts.com. Don't see what you love? Then suggest a solution for your sweet tooth. "Everyone offers suggestions. All the girls (who work with me) are getting very creative. Customers make suggestions all the time," Rieben said. No matter if you are a previous customer or a first-time sampler, this week is the perfect time to visit Ganache and dig into a wonderful dessert.
"No one has to eat dessert. It's just for fun," Rieben said.

| Bakery invites you to indulge your sweet tooth |
| When it comes to dessert, who needs dinner? Such is the feeling of Pam Rieben, who recently opened Ganache Desserts, Murfreesboro’s newest delicatessen bakery. “Dessert is for pleasure and for fun, so it should be enjoyed,” she said. “Other food is just a necessity.”
Rieben opened Ganache Desserts at 1103 N.W. Broad St., Suite B, in a shopping strip behind Demos’, to offer the community homemade goodies from scratch. She explained that some of the recipes are from family hand-me-downs, while others are derived from adaptations and trial and error. “I’ve always loved to bake and many years ago I thought this would be a fun business,” Rieben said. “Once my children finished college and went out on their own, I jumped in.”
Even the shop’s name, Ganache Desserts, rings of sweetness. “Ganache just makes you think of rich, gooey, decadent desserts,” Rieben said. On any given day the menu will offer cookies, cupcakes, tarts, whoopie pies (similar to moon pies, but with more cake and more puff), baby cakes (a smaller version of the large cakes) and more. Rieben added that 6-inch and 8-inch cakes and 8-inch tarts are available for pre-order.
Ganache Desserts also offers a selection of specialty coffees and Caspari paper plates and napkins. Still unsure? Stop in and sample some of the desserts. Ganache Desserts is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Call 615-962-7150 or visit the shop’s Facebook page for additional information.
